Roadmap for Kaboosh

What we are polishing next, and what is still longer-term.

Current priorities

The near-term roadmap is focused on making key product areas easier to start, run, and trust.

First-session activation

Make the first useful action obvious for each user type.

Next
  • Role-specific empty states for learners, teachers, parents, and students
  • Starter shortcuts for templates, imports, public decks, and the first activity or assignment

Teacher workflow hardening

Tighten assignment creation, recipient selection, permissions, progress reports, exports, and submission review.

Polishing
  • Cleaner homework setup for app activities, files, and writing
  • More reliable class/student reporting and teacher-facing exports

Arcade quality pass

Make the existing arcade area feel consistent across setup, access, restarts, scoring, and activity handoff.

Polishing
  • Keep active, prototype, and coming-soon games clearly separated
  • Improve shared scoring, saves/restarts, access rules, and classroom setup

Parent and student polish

Improve account linking, family controls, child progress visibility, homework visibility, and student reward pages.

Next
  • Clarify parent-child setup and dashboard states
  • Polish student homework, badges, avatar, and deck flows

Longer-term

These are larger bets after the current polish pass; order can change based on usage and feedback.

Realtime classroom scale

Live quiz and some live/classroom paths exist, but full realtime lobbies, presence, moderation, and load testing remain later work.

Later
  • Classroom game coordination at larger scale
  • Moderation, pause/kick controls, presence, and load testing

School admin and advanced imports

Organisation roles, school/admin reporting, and APKG-style import support are still not started.

Later
  • Org and org-admin workflows for schools or centres
  • Advanced imports such as Anki/APKG with optional interval retention

Mobile and native apps

The web app and PWA stay first; native app wrappers, push notifications, and device permissions are later.

Later
  • Mobile web improvements before native packaging
  • iOS/Android wrappers, native push, camera/photo permissions, and store assets

Expanded avatar and reward economy

Student avatar pages exist, but a fuller shop/unlock economy is still later roadmap work.

Later
  • Avatar items, unlocks, and reward loops
  • Balance points and achievements around real learning progress

Advanced AI practice

AI can expand into richer generation, speech, and conversation workflows once cost controls and quality checks are ready.

Later
  • AI card suggestions, conversation practice, and speech workflows
  • Usage limits and monitoring before broader rollout
