Getting Started
Learn the basics of creating your first deck and getting started with flashcards.
- Create an account and choose the role that matches how you plan to study or teach.
- Build your first deck, then review it yourself before sharing or assigning it.
- Use the Learning Hub if you want examples of spaced repetition, active recall, and card-writing best practices.
Creating Flashcards
Learn how to create, edit, and organize your flashcards effectively.
- Keep each card focused on one prompt and one answer so review stays fast.
- Use imports when you already have vocabulary lists or question banks prepared.
- Add images or audio only when they improve recall, not just to decorate the card.
Games & Learning
Discover different games and learning modes to make studying fun.
- Use Due Cards or Study Now (Auto) to follow the schedule; supported tracked activities update the same Smart Tracking history.
- Use game modes for repetition variety after the core deck content is already solid.
- Mix homework assignments with self-study so students can keep practicing outside class.

- For account issues, emailing support is the fastest path right now.
For Teachers
Special features and guides for educators using the platform.
- Create classes, assign decks, and track who is keeping up with review.
- Use one deck across classroom practice, homework, and self-study instead of rebuilding the same content in multiple places.
- Keep assigned decks tight and focused so students can finish sessions consistently.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create my first flashcard deck?
To create your first deck, go to "My Decks" in your dashboard, click "Create Deck", give it a name and description, then start adding flashcards one by one or import them from a CSV file.
What games are available to help me learn?
We offer several activities including Flashcard Review, Speak It, Type It, Concept Test, Memory Match, Matching Game, Multiple Choice Quiz, Fill in the Blank, Word Search, Anagram, Crossword, Spelling Practice, and Character Writing Practice.
How does spaced repetition work?
Smart Tracking schedules secure cards later and difficult cards sooner from accepted results. Four-skill language decks keep separate Reading & writing and Listening & speaking schedules, while one-track decks use a shared schedule. Supported tracked activities can record results automatically.
Can I share decks with my students?
Yes! Teachers can create classes and assign decks to students. Students can access their assigned decks through their student dashboard.
Is my data secure?
We apply standard security controls and review them regularly. For details on what data we collect and how it is handled, please read our Privacy Policy.
How do I connect an AI app to Kaboosh?
Individual and Teacher accounts can add https://mcp.kaboosh.app/mcp in a compatible AI app, then approve the requested permissions under Settings -> Connected AI. Access can be revoked at any time, and AI-created decks and worksheets remain private drafts for review.
